How To Partition Your Hard Drive

If you have a large hard drive size, it is recommended to partition the drive so that the data in the system are not mixed with the data on your data drive. If not, then the computer data on your computer will accumulate in a single drive, which causes your computer getting slower. 

Partitioning hard drive can be done using existing software on your computer, you can also use the software from an outside party. In this discussion I will use the existing software on the computer.

Steps to partition the hard drive.

- click start,

- type "computer management" in search box,

- then click it,

 

 - in "Computer Management", you click "Storage" then click "Disk Management", like the picture below.
